Title Potential Native Plant Communities of the Eastern Broadleaf and Laurentian Mixed Forests with current disturbance
Abstract These data integrate a suite of geospatial data layers to predict potential Native Plant Communities (NPCs) of the Eastern Broadleaf and Laurentian Mixed Forest Provinces. NPCs are predicted at the System and Class Levels, following the MN Department of Natural Resources Native Plant Community classifications. This dataset includes the following human disturbed classes from the 2012 NLCD dataset overlayed on the NPC dataset: Hay/pasture, Developed Open, Developed Med, Developed Low, Developed High, Cultivated Crops.
Purpose These data have multiple uses, including informing forest management practices across agencies and providing supporting data to Regional Landscape Committee planning efforts.
