Title: Migratory Waterfowl Feeding and Resting Areas

Abstract: This resource contains 2 feature classes: 1) A polygon feature class of lakes completely or partially designated as Migratory Waterfowl Feeding & Resting Areas, as listed in the Minnesota Hunting & Trapping Regulations Handbook. The lakes were derived (selected) out of the DNR 100k Lakes and Rivers. 2) A point feature class created from the polygons.

Purpose: To create a spatial representation of the Migratory Waterfowl Feeding and Resting Areas as listed in the Minnesota Waterfowl Hunting Regulations. When these areas are posted as such during the open waterfowl season no person my use any motor-propelled watercraft or aircraft. Some of the lakes carry an exception allowing use of electric trolling motors with less then 30 pounds of thrust.
