This data layer is the 2006 summer & fall orthophotography for 40 counties in Minnesota. It originated from the Minnesota Department of Agriculture and was made public by the United States Geological Survey. It has a 1 meter resolution. Orthophotography is extremely useful for determining land use and land cover. As a result of this, it can provide important context for specific locations and other spatial data. If multiple years are available, it can also be used to identify changes that take place on the landscape.
