Extent of available data.
This data layer is the 2008 Statewide Summer Orthophotography displayed in false color infrared (CIR) utilizing bands of near-infrared, red, and green. It originated from the Farm Service Agency (US Department of Agriculture) and was captured at a 1 meter resolution as part of the National Agricultural Imagery Program. There are noticeable color variations between imagery captured during the growing season and after harvest. Orthophotography is extremely useful for determining land use and land cover. As a result, it can provide important context for specific locations and other spatial data. If multiple years are available, it can also be used to identify changes that take place on the landscape.
