This data layer is the 2014 Northwest spring orthophotography. It originated from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MN DNR) and includes three swaths across Northwest and North Central Minnesota at a 0.5 meter resolution. Orthophotography is extremely useful for determining land use and land cover. As a result of this, it can provide important context for specific locations and other spatial data. If multiple years are available, it can also be used to identify changes that take place on the landscape.
