This data layer indicates the boundary of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) Minerals Management Corridor. It was developed by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. State-owned land and minerals within the Corridor are withdrawn from mineral leasing. Criteria used to identify these lands include: lands within one quarter mile of the BWCAW, principal recreational entrances and travel corridors entering the BWCAW, and small surface waters that flow directly into the BWCAW.
