This data layer indicates the level of nitrogen fertilizer use per acre for corn at a county scale for the state of Minnesota in 2014. It was developed by the University of Minnesota using data from the Minnesota Department of Agriculture Nutrient Management Survey. Corn is Minnesota's most economically important crop. When not properly managed, excess nutrients from corn production can enter surface and groundwater.
