This data represents the Forest Cover Type of northeastern Minnesota. It was developed by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MN DNR). Random forest image classification was performed within the Google Earth Engine platform using Plot Based Inventory (PBI) cover type data as training data applied to Harmonized Sentinel-2 MSI imagery. This information can provide foresters a better understanding of the landscape and how it should be managed.
