Forestry – Inventory: Basal Area

This data layer represents the basal area in square feet per acre of all live trees in a stand on lands administered by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MN DNR). It was created by the MN DNR. Knowing the basal area of trees within a stand can provide foresters a better understanding of the stand and how it should be managed.
