This data layer is the 2009 Isle Royale summer orthophotography. It originated from the United States Geological Survey and includes Northeast Cook county, Isle Royale, and southern Ontario, Canada at a 0.3 meter resolution. Orthophotography is extremely useful for determining land use and land cover. As a result of this, it can provide important context for specific locations and other spatial data. If multiple years are available, it can also be used to identify changes that take place on the landscape.
