This data layer is the 2009 Isle Royale Summer Orthophotography. It originated from the US Geological Survey and includes northeast Cook County, Isle Royale, and southern Ontario, Canada at a 0.3 meter resolution. Orthophotography is extremely useful for determining land use and land cover. As a result, it can provide important context for specific locations and other spatial data. If multiple years are available, it can also be used to identify changes that take place on the landscape.
