This data layer is 2025 Spring Leaf-Off Orthophotography produced from imagery containing four bands of red, green, blue, and near-infrared (RGBI). It originated from the Metropolitan Council and Kucera International, Inc. and covers the Twin Cities metro area at a 30 cm (1 foot) resolution. Orthophotography is extremely useful for determining land use and land cover. As a result, it can provide important context for specific locations and other spatial data. If multiple years are available, it can also be used to identify changes that take place on the landscape.
