This data layer indicates the boundaries of areas in which the state of Minnesota has a Surface Interest of type Tax Forfeited. It was developed by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MN DNR). It includes areas that are administered by the MN DNR or Minnesota Counties. Tax Forfeited Lands were forfeited to the state as a result of non-payment of the general property taxes.
