This data layer is 2006 spring orthophotography. It originated from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and covers the Minneapolis-St. Paul area at a 0.3 meter resolution. Orthophotography is extremely useful for determining land use and land cover. As a result of this, it can provide important context for specific locations and other spatial data. If multiple years are available, it can also be used to identify changes that take place on the landscape.
