This data layer indicates the boundaries of Voting Precincts. It was developed by the Minnesota Legislative Coordinating Commission using the US Census Bureau TIGER/Line Files for the 2020 Census. It is the data used for the 2020 Redistricting efforts in Minnesota. Voting Precincts are the basic geographical areas in which elections are organized and administered. In towns and cities, voting precincts are established and administered by the local governing body, while in unorganized territories, counties serve that role. Precincts have a polling location at which citizens that live within the precinct can vote in local, state, and national elections.
