Wild Rice – DNR Modeled

This data layer shows results of modeled wild rice presence throughout Minnesota in 2023 by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Resource Assessment Program. Models incorporated pre- and post-emergence Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 satellite imagery, observations from The Collaborative State Tribal Wild Rice Monitoring Program, and Google Earth Engine. These data allow for improved understanding of the changing spatial extent of wild rice.
